December 15, 2010 marks a truly memorable day for GageIn: we’ve just launched our completely renewed website after another two weeks of intense work. Since we announced the first upgrade of GageIn as a business information network two weeks ago, we have been moving to further enhance it toward a next-generation platform for gathering information, collaborating with colleagues, and making the right connections to uncover business opportunities and quickly drive measurable results. With today’s announcement, GageIn Private Beta 0.9.7, we are one step closer to realizing our vision!
Here are three major features we’re launching today:
Save news articles or company documents to read later
We know you’re busy and might not have time to read an update the moment you see it on GageIn. To help you easily save and access news articles or company documents at a later time, we’ve added a Read Later feature to GageIn.
Click Read Later to save the update to your To-Read list, which can be accessed at any time. Your To-Read list can be found on your homepage.
Organize news articles or company documents with tags
Need a way to easily sort and organize your updates? You can now add your own tags to news articles and company documents. Add multiple tags to each update and use any one of them to easily find the news article or company document again in the future.
To see all your tagged articles, click Tags on your homepage.
Collaborate with colleagues through discussions
One of the most exciting features we’ve implemented is the capability to allow you to participate in discussions with colleagues. Start a discussion directly on a piece of news from anywhere on the site; under each news article and company document, is a Start a discussion with colleagues link. Write a message that will be shown to all your colleagues and share insights on companies or connections at target accounts, and collaborate with one another to pursue business opportunities.
You can mark a word with ‘#’ to make it a hashtag. Clicking on it will bring up all discussions containing that tag. By end of the year, we’ll also announce a new feature that allows you to embed company and user profile links in discussions.
To see all discussions, click on Discussions on your homepage. You can also search discussions by keywords or use the advanced search form.
Other
We’ve also made comprehensive improvements on the GageIn user interface to make it easier to explore business information, receive real-time updates from target companies, connect with the right contacts at the right accounts, collaborate, share information and hold business conversations across the organization, and promote your business to a network of followers.
